Borgward delivers latest car for sale in Laos
German automaker Borgward Group AG on Friday launched the Borgward (BX7 model) at the ongoing Vientiane International Motor Expo 2016, with Laos the first Asean country to have the new car.
The company plans to expand sales of the car throughout Laos in 2018, with a focus on the main provinces, and is targeting the middle and upper income group of customers.
The car can be purchased at a dealership in Saphangmeuk village, Xaythany district, Vientiane. The showroom can be contacted on 021-740680/1 and 784683.
The company is offering the car at a special price during the promotion period and many customers have already made bookings.
If customers buy or book the car during the promotion period or at the Vientiane International Motor Expo 2016 from September 30 to October 6, the company will offer various special prizes.
In 1919, the Borgward brand was established in Bremen by one of the pioneers of today's world automotive industry: Carl F.W. Borgward, engineer by education, designer and entrepreneur by passion a car genius, BORGWARD Group AG Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Service, Mr Tom Anliker, said when speaking at the Vientiane International Motor Expo 2016.

Borgward gained high popularity through its excellent quality-price relationship, competing on the same level with Mercedes-Benz and BMW, Mr Anliker said.
The Borgward Isabella together with the Mercedes 180 became the most popular cars in Germany. Borgward produced its 1,000,000th car in 1961, entering into the millions club far ahead of other luxury brands such as Mercedes-Benz and BMW, he added.
Borgward offered the most diversified product programme, covering all possible niches with industry leading technical solutions within the automotive industry.
Borgward was a race champion and, together with Porsche, they were called the best race track duo.
In 1919, Borgward started its journey into the automotive world.
Half a century later, BORGWARD became Germany's third largest car manufacturer, Mr Anliker said.
Borgward was the leading German automotive manufacturer in exporting cars, accounting for 63.5 percent of the total export volume, covering sales territory across Europe, North America, South America, Africa and Asia.
