Diesel drops by 160 kip per litre

The cost of diesel at petrol stations across the country has fallen by 160 kip per litre, while the retail prices of premium and regular petrol remain stable, according to the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.

The ministry cut the price of diesel in line with global oil price trends and market mechanisms, which will be good news for general consumers and also farmers.

The latest price reduction became effective yesterday in Vientiane and other provinces.

Today, the cost of diesel per litre at petrol stations in Vientiane should be 6,210 kip while trade premium grade petrol sells for 8,350 kip per litre and regular petrol for 7,350 kip per litre.

In Khammuan and Savannakhet provinces, diesel sells for 6,240 kip per litre, while premium petrol enters the market at 8,380 kip per litre and regular retails for 7,380 kip.

In Champassak province, diesel sells for 6,270 kip per litre, while premium petrol drives out of the station for 8,410 kip and regular petrol at 7,410 kip.

In Bokeo province, diesel sells for 6,310 kip per litre, while premium petrol can be had for 8,450 kip per litre and regular petrol for 7,450 kip.

Meanwhile in Luang Prabang province, diesel sells for 6,670 kip per litre, while premium flows for 8,810 kip and regular petrol for 7,810 kip.

In Vientiane province, diesel sells for 6,210 kip per litre, while premium petrol goes for 8,350 kip and regular petrol for 7,530 kip.

In Xaysomboun, Xekong and Attapeu provinces, the cost of diesel is 6,450 kip per litre, while regular is on offer for 7,590 kip.

In Xayaboury and Huaphan provinces, diesel is selling for 6,610 kip per litre, while regular costs 7,750 kip.

In Xieng Khuang province, diesel sells for 6,400 kip per litre, while petrol is 7,540 kip.

In Oudomxay province, diesel sells for 6,660 kip per litre and regular for 7,800 kip.

In Luang Namtha province, diesel sells for 6,570 kip per litre and regular petrol for 7,710 kip.

In Phongsaly province, diesel sells for 6,940 kip kip per litre and regular petrol for 8,080 kip.

In Saravan province, diesel sells for 6,420 kip per litre and regular can be purchased for 7,560 kip, while petrol stations in Borikhamxay province sell diesel for 6,330 kip and regular for 7,470 kip.
