Council honours insurance company's managing director

The Asean-Thailand Business Council has awarded the Asean Award 2016 to the Managing Director of Dhipaya Insurance Laos, Mr Boonchai Boonyanurak, in recognition of his outstanding performance in developing the company.

Thailand's Privy Councilor Admiral Chumpol Pachusanon, who chaired the award ceremony, presented a trophy and certificate to Mr Boonchai.

The presentation ceremony took place in Bangkok, Thailand, on May 22 and was attended by local senior officials and other invited guests.

This information was revealed by the company when celebrating its progress on May 25 after Mr Boonchai returned from Thailand with his award.

“It was a great honour and pleasure to accept the award in recognition of the work the company has done to improve itself in Laos,” Mr Boonchai said.

The award particularly recognises Mr Boonchai's efforts in leading the company, which has seen outstanding performance in the Asean region, including Laos, and for having made significant progress in establishing and reinforcing his position in the international business arena.

Citing the development of the company, the firm has developed strategies to engender trust in its customers, including convenient and fast service, and high standards.

The company has also improved its methods in the workplace and has developed its staff's capacity to prepare them to lead the company forward.

Known for being easy-going and happy, Mr Boonchai has become a well respected leader within the company.

Mentioning business, Mr Boonchai explained that the company considers insurance and life insurance as important components of human development and the sustainable development of Lao society.

In other areas, Mr Boonchai recently led the company's staff to assist society in Laos through its corporate social responsibility programme, when they repainted the primary school in Nathong village, Hinheup district, Vientiane province.

In recognition of the tireless efforts, achievements and support made by the company in working closely with staff to develop the company and support society in Laos, it is not surprising that the council unanimously agreed to present an award to Mr Boonchai.

On behalf of the company, Mr Boonchai thanked the Lao government for giving the company the opportunity to run their business, distribute products and other services from Thailand, and be a part of developing Laos.

Dhipaya became the first insurance company from Thailand to operate in Laos in 2014 and is keen to provide more knowledge and understanding for its employees for the benefit of its customers.

At present, the company has over 15,000 customers and agencies around Laos including its first branch which officially opened in Savannakhet province.

The Dhipaya Insurance Company is located on the 5th floor of the Kolao (Alounmai) Building on 23 Singha Road in Nongbone village, Xaysettha district, Vientiane.
