VN firms join Indonesian food exhibit

A number of Vietnamese companies are showcasing their products at the international exhibition on food and beverages in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The four-day InterFood Indonesia 2015, which opens on Wednesday, offers a venue for networking and accessing new innovations used in food and beverage manufacturing. It has attracted the participation of more than 800 local and foreign enterprises from 22 countries.

Le Hong Minh, head of the Vietnamese Commercial Office in Indonesia said many Vietnamese firms have joined this exhibition in order to advertise their products, seek new outlets and trade partners.

Trade experts said that with a population of approximately 250 million people, Indonesia is regarded as a promising market for food and beverage products which account for 7 per cent of its gross domestic product.
