Vietnamese American Chamber of Commerce establishes office in Binh Duong
The Vietnamese – American Chamber of Commerce, or VACC, today opened its representative's office in southern Binh Duong province.
Speaking at the opening ceremony at Becamex IDC Corporation headquarters, Mai Hoang, Chairman of VACOC said that the office aims to create good conditions for American enterprises to invest in Viet Nam, especially since the Trans – Pacific Partnership was signed.
She said Binh Duong province, with a favourable geographical location, is a good place for American companies to invest and make business.
Deputy Chairman of the Binh Duong People's Committee Mai Hung Dung said that in recent years, Binh Duong has become one of the leading provinces in economic development, with a high number of industrial parks and was a leader in attracting foreign investment.
The province has invested in building modern infrastructure, promoting foreign economic activities and strengthening relationships with other provinces and international partners, he said.
The United States of America has 712 projects worth US$10 billion, ranking 7 out of 110 countries investing in Viet Nam. Of this figure, Binh Duong province attracts 81 projects with total investment of $650 million, according to Dung.
The VACOC takes responsibility of promoting and supporting chamber members in many fields, including business, education and community partners.
