Japanese businesses keen to invest in Danang
Over 120 Japanese businesses gathered in Tokyo on November 12 to attend a seminar to learn about the Danang city’s potential, business climate and investment policies.
During the seminar, Vietnam Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Quoc Cuong underscored the importance of fine relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
Meanwhile a large number of Japanese companies spoke highly of Vietnam’s investment climate and other qualities such as political stability and the abundant and skilled workforce.
Former Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Hiroyuki Yushita in turn said the event would help Japanese businesses learn more about investment policies in Danang so that they could expand their operations.
He also spoke positively of Danang’s potential – especially in the field of tourism, seaports and hi-tech zones.
At present, there are some 120 Japanese businesses and representative offices operating in Danang with total foreign direct investment of nearly US$500 million.
