Deal reached to open cinema complex in Laos

T he Laos World Trade Center and Major Cineplex Group PLC have successfully signed a cooperation agreement to open a new cinema complex in Laos, offering new entertainment possibilities to the residents of Vientiane.

CEO of Laos World Trade Center Mr Justin Chen and Director and Chief Films Officer of Major Cineplex Group PLC Mr Thanakorn Puriwakin took part in this signing ceremony in Bangkok on July 24.
After signing the agreement with Major Cineplex in Thailand head office, Mr Justin Chen said that the opening of the cinema complex will make the significant contribution for Lao cinematic culture to connect with the world.
“The WTC project is located in the core area of Vientiane; nearby the city axis Avenue,” he said.
“Our project includes an international shopping mall, a boutique shopping street, a 5-star hotel, a 5A office building, a high-end business hotel and apartment.”
“We do not only intend to build an international commercial and tourist centre in Vientiane but also to build Laos as an international image exhibition centre.”
“We help to promote city development and devote ourselves to updating public services and city facilities. Our project will become a new fascinating center for entertainment and business in Vientiane.”
Major Cineplex, the biggest cinema company in Thailand, owns 70 percent of box-office revenues in Thailand cinema industry. It has continuously expanded its cinema networks and solely developed its independent cinemas which provide unique and comprehensive experiences for viewers.
The representatives of Major Cineplex said they are delighted to cooperate with WTC to open the best and largest cinema which will fulfill people’s needs for watching movies in Vientiane.
“We will bring fastest, newest and best cinema and viewing experience to Laos,” they assured.
