Chinese corporation builds industrial park in Quang Ninh

The Texhong Group (China) commenced construction of the Texhong Hai Ha industrial park in Quang Ninh province with a total investment of VND4.52 trillion ($215 million) on Saturday, November 15.

The industrial park is located in the Mong Cai Border-gate Economic Zone with an area of 660ha. The project consists of the area for industrial plants (nearly 300 hectares); the operating center (nearly 25 hectares); the service area (123,59ha); technical infrastructure (17ha); the area for trees and lakes (109,51ha); and roads and reserved land (93,71ha).

In the next three to five years, Texhong will complete the construction of a close textile-garment chain in this industrial park to attract local and foreign investors. When the project is completed it will attract approximately 30,000 employees.

Along with this project, Texhong Group has also established the Texhong Sciences-Technology Company to implement a VND6.4 trillion ($320 million) textile-garment technology project which is expected to start in January 2015.

To serve this project, Quang Ninh will build a 7km road from Highway 18 to the industrial park with a total investment of over VND680 billion ($3.3 million) and a 220kV power transmission line from Cam Pha town to the industrial park with investment of over VND1.1 trillion ($50 million), expected to be completed in 2015.
