China's textile group invests in Quang Ninh industrial park

Chinese textile group Texhong kicked off a project to build infrastructure for an industrial park in Hai Ha district in northern Quang Ninh province on Saturday.

The park is part of the Mong Cai border gate economic zone that covered 660 ha.

The project, worth VND 4.5 trillion (US$ 225 million), includes an industrial plant, a management centre, a garment-textile business and service areas to attract domestic and foreign investors.

It is expected to generate jobs for 30,000 people and provide momentum for the Mong Cai border gate economic zone.

Local authorities pledged to continue improving investments in transport, electricity and water supply infrastructure, while accelerating the ground clearance process to ensure its progress.
