International agriculture trade fair opens in Ha Noi

The 14 th International Agriculture Trade Fair (AgroViet 2014) kicked off in the capital city yesterday, drawing over 200 businesses from Viet Nam, Japan , China , India and South Africa.

They bring to the fair their outstanding agricultural, seafood and wood products, handicrafts, as well as equipment, technologies and machines serving production, processing and maintenance.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Hoang Van Thang expressed his hope that the fair will provide a good chance for businesses, producers and scientists to exchange experience and access new technologies in order to increase product competitiveness.

The fair, which will end on November 17, is expected to bridge production and consumption, as well as help Viet Nam popularise its agricultural products and intensify trade ties with foreign partners.
