Shares continue to rise on stronger investor optimism

Shares maintained the uptrend on the two stock exchanges on strengthened investor optimism.

 

On the HCM Stock Exchange, the VN-Index rallied 0.44 per cent to close at 572.87 points, its fourth consecutive rising session.

The VN30 tracking the top 30 shares by market value and liquidity also added 0.23 per cent to stand at 616.96 points.

The market condition was positive with the advancers outnumbering the decliners by 109–64 while 128 remained unchanged.

More than 63.3 million shares worth VND873.4 billion (US$41.4 million) were traded by the end of the morning.

FLC Group (FLC) continued to be the most active code on the southern bourse on trades of 6.6 million shares, rising 1.85 per cent to VND11,000 per share.

On the Ha Noi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index also gained 0.76 per cent to end at 76.49 points.

Gainers outnumbered losers by 83–55 while 223 codes closed flat.

Trading was modest, however, as just 26.5 million shares worth VND272.5 billion ($12.9 million) were exchanged.

Sacomreal (SCR) is leading trades here with 5.5 million shares, being exchanged at VND8,700 per share, up 3.6 per cent over yesterday.
