AGL to offer insurance options through JDB

Customers of the Joint Development Bank (JDB) can now buy insurance packages and enjoy better access to banking systems after a partnership contract was signed with Allianz General Laos (AGL).

The Joint Development Bank (JDB) and Allianz General Laos (AGL) signed a partnership agreement last Friday to provide insurance services through the bank.

The agreement was signed by JDB Director, Mr Thongchaleun Khenmingmongkhon and AGL Director General, Mr Guy Apovy last Friday in Vientiane, witnessed by senior personnel from both companies.

Mr Apovy said it was a remarkable agreement which will allow customers of the bank to access health insurance, life insurance and property insurance.

“The AEC is coming closer and so now is the right time for JDB and AGL to work together to offer options to the clients of both sides,” he said.

JDB's Chairman of the Advisory Board, Dr Vivat Kittiphongkosol said the bank and AGL hoped to offer clients different categories of insurance services.

“JDB and AGL were established at a similar time and both sides have plenty of experience in the service sector, therefore it will be a good opportunity for customers to access insurance services,” he said.

The signing ceremony of the partnership contract was also attended by JDB President and Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr Ekkaphanh Phaphithack along with other invited guests.
