V & T eyes more luxury car sales

V & T Auto Service Company plans to supply 200 luxury cars to the public each year after officially opening its first showroom in Vientiane last Sunday.

President of V & T Auto Service Company, Mr Sengaon Vongvalith, said the company expects its annual sales volume will reach around the 200 unit mark, with a focus on providing a luxury standard to businessmen and the wider public.

The company supplies popular and internationally-renowned brand name cars, including Toyota, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz and Lexus, to meet high customer demand for such products in Laos.

Mr Sengaon said before the showroom had even opened, customers were making orders with the company – he had already received more than 30 car orders from project-related customers, businesses and relatives.

He said after the grand opening customers would begin to use the company's services even more, and orders would come rolling in.

Speaking at the opening ceremony of the first showroom last Sunday, Mr Sengaon said the decision of the company to open a shop in the city was in response to increasing customer demand.

Located on a 1980sq m site in Dong Nathong village, Sikhottabong district, on the road to the Northern Bus Terminal, the showroom took 11 months to build and is part of a major expansion for the company.

Mr Sengaon said the company's business and marketing strategy this year would be to import quality, famous brand cars and provide after-sales service to customers.

The company plans to expand to other provinces in the near future to supply its luxury cars to customers across the country.

Vice Mayor of Vientiane Mr Somvandy Nathavong, who attended the opening ceremony, said road improvements in many areas in recent years had allowed the development of businesses such as V & T Auto Service Company.

He applauded the patience of the young business and its use of knowledge, funds and experience to open the showroom and provide an important public facility.

A number of senior government officials also attended the ceremony and inspected the new premises. The event featured popular singers and prizes for those in attendance.
