Richy Group celebrates 25th anniversary, looking to stronger development

Richy Group marked its 25-year journey of developing Vietnamese products with five of them being awarded the National Brand in 2026. Starting from an import distribution foundation, Richy gradually expanded investments in technology and production infrastructure, building competitive strength based on products developed and manufactured by the company itself.

Richy Group marked its 25th anniversary at a glittering ceremony in Hà Nội on October 8, marking a quarter-century of developing its Vietnamese confectionery brand and expanding its international presence.

The milestone celebrates five key product lines - Karo, Majestic, Jinju, Kenju and Peppie - as all have been awarded National Brand awards following Decision No 2136/QĐ-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

For Richy, the anniversary was a memorable milestone in the company’s history and an opportunity for its management and staff to reflect on a dream they have pursued for 25 years: creating Vietnamese products that can compete on an equal footing in international markets.

Established as Hoàng Mai Trade Limited Company in 2001, the company was one of pioneering importers in Việt Nam, specialising in the exclusive distribution of premium confectionery products from leading global brands from Germany, Turkey and Malaysia.

Ten years later, Richy officially started production, marking a major turning point from import and distribution to manufacturing and business.

"It was historic decision, shaping a new route of development of Richy. There were really tough time but once we overcame we built up Richy's resilience," said Trần Sỹ Trực, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Richy Group.

"After 25 years of development, Richy has strongly growing with three offices in Hà Nội, Đà Nẵng and HCM City with thousands of staff and workers. We have created a proud journey and positioned our brands.

"In addition to distributing imported sweets and baked goods, Richy has produced high-quality products, building a strong and lasting brand presence in consumers’ minds and that meeting domestic and international demands."

Since then, Richy has built a national distribution system with over 150,000 sales points and distributors, producing and over 200 tons of cakes and candies per month.

Richy has risen to the Top 10 Most Reputable Food Companies in Việt Nam’s Food & Beverage Industry, earned recognition as a Việt Nam National Brand since 2020, and expanded its global footprint to 36 countries – including challenging markets such as the United States, Japan, and South Korea – across five continents.

Looking to the future, Trực said Richy had three key goals. These are ensuring to lead the domestic market in strong, high-quality segments and continuing to conquer the international market in a sustainable way. They also go after investing in people and building a corporate culture based on the principle of 'better every day'.

Richy is also proud of its social responsibility through programmes such as sponsoring reputable sport tournaments, supporting children in the border and island areas, and providing emergency disaster support.
