KIDO Group on Tuesday announced plans to expand its AIRO ecosystem into an integrated media, entertainment and commerce platform powered by artificial intelligence (AI).

The platform will manage the entire process, from content creation and production to distribution and commercialisation.

The expansion is intended to support the development of Việt Nam’s cultural industries and provide businesses with innovative marketing solutions. KIDO also hopes to help domestic companies take their brands and products to international markets.

The strategy aligns with the Government’s policies on science and technology, innovation and digital transformation under Resolution No. 57, and the development of cultural industries under Resolution No. 80.

“The rapid growth of AI and digital platforms is changing consumers’ entertainment habits and shopping behaviour,” said Trần Lệ Nguyên, KIDO Group’s general director and AIRO chairman.

“When we first launched AIRO, our goal was to pioneer the use of AI in livestreaming, virtual character creation and TV commercial production. In this next phase, the AIRO ecosystem will expand significantly. We will go beyond using AI to make films or create visual effects. Our broader aim is to build a comprehensive media, entertainment and commerce ecosystem.”

Nguyên said the new model would help artists do more and generate sustainable revenue from their intellectual property. It would also reduce production costs and turn entertainment content into a sales channel.

“From a business perspective, this is an ecosystem capable of generating revenue that can be continuously reinvested. We are therefore confident in our goal of taking AIRO public through an initial public offering in 2030,” he said.

KIDO said it would work with strategic partners, including Yuguang Tongchen, Tencent and Mango TV, to promote Vietnamese stories, cultural identity and entertainment internationally.

AIRO aims to produce 200 AI-generated short films a year and expand into game shows, entertainment programmes, short films and feature films. It also plans to develop into a global media and entertainment group.

The company produces and commercialises AI-powered content under the support of KIDO Group.

AIRO’s business model covers the full value chain, from owning intellectual property and producing content with AI to distributing and commercialising it across multiple channels. The company has six business divisions and aims to bring original Vietnamese works to international markets.
