Sacombank commits $164,000 to ‘Nurturing Dreams’ scholarship programme in 2025

Sacombank has kicked off selection for the 2025 “Nurturing Dreams” scholarship programme, part of its community projects dedicated to supporting young people with a drive for self-improvement and aspirations to overcome challenges.

The programme will award 45 scholarships, including 44 worth VNĐ75 million (US$2,855) each given for three academic years, and one “gold” scholarship valued at VNĐ100 million ($3,801) to the most outstanding candidate.

University students majoring in economics and information technology can apply for them.

The selection process will be transparent and professionally done over two rounds.

In the screening round, students submit online applications via sacombankcareer.com, including an application form, an essay titled “Your Dreams and the Journey to Conquer Them” and a self-introduction video.

Shortlisted candidates will advance to the conquest round and present themselves before the selection council at Sacombank’s regional offices in Hà Nội, Đà Nẵng, HCM City, and Cần Thơ. Based on personal character, academic performance, soft skills, and career orientation, the council will select the best candidates.

Successful candidates will also get to participate in skills training programmes, gain hands-on experience at the bank, engage in community activities, and explore Sacombank’s professional environment.

The scholarships are expected to be awarded in March.

Launched in 2004, “Nurturing Dreams” has become one of Sacombank’s flagship annual corporate social responsibility programmes.

The programme also gives away scholarships to K–12 students every September.

In 2025, Sacombank allocated more than VNĐ4.3 billion ($163,890) to the programme.
