Coca-Cola Vietnam's recycled bottle wall artwork sets national record

Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam had set a Vietnamese record recognised by the Vietnam Record Organisation (VietKings) for its artwork made of six curved walls using 100,000 recycled PET (rPET) bottles with a capacity of 300ml (excluding caps and labels) on December 9 at the Coca-Cola factory in Tây Ninh Province.

The walls span a total length of more than 100 metres, featuring images and video clips showcasing the company's sustainability journey, heritage, strategies and concrete actions towards a circular future.

The artwork received the record of the largest artwork made from 100 per cent recycled Coca-Cola 300ml bottles.

According to a company representative, this serves as a symbol of the company’s commitment to reducing plastic waste, advancing circular economy solutions and protecting the environment for generations to come.

Milly Cheng, CEO of Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam, said "With this national record, we hope to further inspire responsible recycling and reinforce the belief that every small action, such as collecting and recycling a single bottle, contributes to a greener future for Việt Nam."

On this occasion, the CEO also introduced the company's third manufacturing plant in Việt Nam.

The production plant had a total investment of US$136 million and has been operating since July this year, becoming the first F&B plant in Việt Nam to meet the LEED Gold green building certification.

This is also the second manufacturing plant globally to have a wall-to-wall seamless supply model, with a bridge connecting the company with its can supplier next door.

It features the first Coca-Cola museum in Việt Nam, including the six curved plastic bottle walls and a space highlighting its products.

It is open for visitors via registration.

Coca-Cola Beverages Vietnam operates plants in Tây Ninh Province, Đà Nẵng and Hà Nội, creating approximately 4,000 direct jobs and indirectly generating employment six to eight times that amount through its supply chain activities.
