AgroViet 2025 opened on Wednesday in Hà Nội, bringing together nearly 250 booths from both local and international enterprises to boost agricultural trade, investment and brand promotion.

Organised by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the event serves as a key platform to foster international economic exchange, promote domestic consumption, expand export markets and celebrate made-in-Việt Nam farm produce.

Nguyễn Minh Tiến, director of the ministry’s Agricultural Trade Promotion Centre, said at the opening ceremony that Việt Nam’s agricultural sector plays an important role in the national economy amid global uncertainty and the impacts of climate change.

Việt Nam is now among the world’s leading exporters of farm produce with key products including rice, coffee, pepper, cashew nuts, seafood and wood, Tiến said, adding Việt Nam’s agricultural products are now present in more than 200 countries and territories with a revenue of US$62 billion in 2024.

The country’s agro-forestry-fishery exports are poised to reach $70 billion this year after increasing 13 per cent to hit $58 billion in from January through October.

Tiến said the ministry will continue to focus on removing difficulties and expanding markets for agricultural products, for which AgroViet is considered an important channel to promote trade.

This year’s event runs until November 16 and will showcase agricultural machinery, materials, equipment, flagship farm and fishery products, OCOP and regional specialties.

The fair also offers networking opportunities between businesses, co-operatives, distributors and consumers to promote consumption and elevate brands of Vietnamese products globally, along with activities to exchange experiences in market development, green consumer trends and the digital transformation in agriculture and e-commerce.

One highlight of AgroViet 2025 is a collaboration with TikTok Vietnam to host livestream sessions during the fair. Participants will be provided with training to enhance their digital marketing capacity and develop online sales channels.
