Cambodia exports many key agricultural products besides rice, including cassava, cashew nuts, mangoes, bananas, corn, longans and 95 other crop products to over 90 countries.

Cambodia exported nearly 12 million tonnes of agricultural products in the first 10 months of 2025, up 28.57 percent compared to the same period last year, generating revenues of about $4.18 billion, according to a report released yesterday by the General Directorate of Agriculture (GDA) of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF).
The report stated that Cambodia exported a total of nearly 12 million tonnes of agricultural products during the first ten months of 2025, including nearly 6 million tonnes of non-rice crops, over 5 million tonnes of paddy rice, and nearly 700,000 tonnes of milled rice, which were shipped to 90 countries.
Sin Sophorn, Deputy Director-General of General Directorate of Agriculture (GDA) of the MAFF, stated in the report that in the first ten months of 2025, the export volume of crop products increased about 2.6 million tonnes compared to the same period in 2024. Among them, paddy rice exports rose nearly 2 million tonnes, non-rice crop exports increased about 465,000 tonnes, and milled rice exports grew nearly 200,000 tonnes.
She added that Cambodia exported many key agricultural products besides rice, including about 2.28 million tonnes of fresh cassava, 1.38 million tonnes of dried cassava, 634,000 tonnes of cashew nuts, 245,000 tonnes of fresh mangoes, nearly 300,000 tonnes of fresh bananas, nearly 170,000 tonnes of corn, 23,727 tonnes of longans, and 95 other crop products totalling more than 700,000 tonnes.
“The total revenue from crop product exports reached about $4.18 billion. Of this, non-rice crops accounted for about $2.53 billion, paddy rice about $1 billion and milled rice for $556 million,” Sophorn said.
She added that exports of non-rice crops to Thailand alone totaled about $260 million, representing 6.22 percent of Cambodia’s total crop export value. The report also noted that no rice exports were sent to Thailand during this period.
Sophorn further said that although Cambodia’s crop exports increased by 28.57 percent in the first ten months of 2025, some specific products recorded a decline. The export of fresh cassava, for instance, decreased as many farmers shifted to producing dried cassava and cassava flour, which can be stored longer and offer higher market value. In fact, during this period, exports of dried cassava rose by 60.91 percent, while cassava flour exports surged by 82.59 percent compared to the same period in 2024.
Following Thailand’s unilateral closure of land border crossings, Cambodia exported 2,398.29 tonnes of crop products to Thailand by sea between June 24 and the end of October 2025, valued at about $7 million.
The report added that in October alone, exports totalled 670.10 tonnes, worth about $1.2 million, a drop of 27.52 percent compared to September.
