New YCH Group's partnership set to boost Tay Ninh’s cross-border trade

Singapore’s YCH Group has teamed up with Tay Ninh province to boost logistics, e-commerce, and green growth, unlocking new cross-border trade opportunities and strengthening ties with Cambodia.

The July 10 signing ceremony for the MoU marked a significant milestone, opening up new opportunities for local businesses to export goods across borders while strengthening the trade corridor between Vietnam and Cambodia.

The event highlighted the strategic cooperation between YCH Group and Tay Ninh People's Committee in enhancing logistics capabilities, supporting local businesses in expanding exports, strengthening high-quality personnel, and boosting sustainable development.

One of the key highlights of the MoU is the development of a logistics complex located in Moc Bai Border Gate Economic Zone. The complex is expected to serve as a major transshipment hub between Vietnam and Cambodia, helping to ease congestion and facilitate smoother goods flow through the border. Once operational, the logistics complex will be connected to other logistics hubs invested by YCH Group in Vietnam and regional markets, forming a seamless supply chain network across the region.

Backed by 70 years of experience in end-to-end supply chain solutions for multinationals, YCH Group will help develop and operate the logistics complex, leveraging advanced technologies, particularly AI, to optimise cargo management and transport. Tay Ninh People's Committee has pledged support for streamlining legal procedures and creating new advantages to ensure the project's effective implementation.

To support the local business community, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, YCH Group will facilitate the access of Tay Ninh products to the Singaporean and broader Asian markets through its YSG e-commerce platform. Tay Ninh People's Committee will also provide support through appropriate policies to encourage local businesses to participate in cross-border e-commerce.

In addition, developing a high-quality logistics workforce is also a key area of cooperation. YCH Group will implement specialised training courses in collaboration with its ecosystem partners to equip the local workforce with skills in modern logistics operations, the application of new technologies, and sustainable practices.

YCH Group is committed to advancing sustainable development in Tay Ninh by incorporating renewable energy, electric vehicles, and carbon credit solutions into its projects, aiming for net-zero emissions. Tay Ninh People's Committee will support these efforts through dedicated resources and policies that encourage green, sustainable logistics infrastructure.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Nguyen Hong Thanh, Vice Chairman of Tay Ninh People's Committee, said, "This cooperation with YCH Group marks an important milestone in Tay Ninh’s strategy to improve competitiveness, especially as the newly restructured entity takes shape following the merger of the former Tay Ninh and Long An provinces. We're confident that YCH Group’s experience and expertise will help deliver meaningful results, driving Tay Ninh’s growth in a way that’s both fast and sustainable."

Yap Kwong Weng, CEO of Vietnam SuperPort and head of Group Strategy, Sustainability, and Communications at YCH Group, said, "We are honoured to collaborate with Tay Ninh People's Committee in implementing a strategy for developing smart and sustainable logistics infrastructure. This partnership will not only strengthen the province’s competitiveness but also enhance trade flows between Vietnam and Cambodia, with further expansion to other markets across the region."

The signing of this MoU between YCH Group and Tay Ninh People’s Committee represents a meaningful step towards expanding international trade opportunities for local businesses, advancing sustainable development objectives, and strengthening Tay Ninh’s role as a regional logistics and trade hub.
