Cambodia collects $1.47 bln in customs revenue in H1

Cambodia collected $1.47 billion in customs revenue in the first half of 2025, a year-on-year increase of 21 percent, the General Department of Customs and Excise (GDCE) said on Saturday.

“The GDCE has achieved 58.6 percent of the revenue target set for the entirety of 2025,” GDCE Director-General Kun Nhem said in a press release.

He said that 36.2 per cent of the customs revenue during the January-June period was from vehicles and machinery, as mixed consumer goods accounted for 32.2 per cent of the total, petroleum products for 23.7 per cent, and construction materials for 7.9 per cent.

The GDCE collects tariffs on goods entering and leaving the country. Its revenue does not include the one earned by the General Department of Taxation, which collects indirect taxes such as value added tax, tax on profits, salary tax, turnover tax, and property tax.
