PVcomBank accompanies the Robocon 2025 Final Round

On June 8, 2025, the final round of the Vietnam Robot Contest 2025 (Robocon 2025) officially commenced at the provincial gymnasium of Ninh Binh Province. As an official partner of the competition, representatives from Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PVcomBank) participated in the “Robotics Connect” event series and the opening ceremony of the final round, which brought together 32 outstanding teams from universities nationwide.

Initiated by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) in 2002, the Vietnam Robot Innovation Contest (Robocon) has grown into a prestigious platform for students in engineering and technology to showcase their talent. Now in its 23rd year, the competition continues to solidify its reputation as a leading regional and national arena for innovation and technical excellence. In 2025, Mongolia will host the ABU Robocon under the theme “Robot Basketball,” promising exciting challenges that will demand creativity and real-world application from participating teams.

In Vietnam, Robocon 2025 continues to be organized on a national scale by Vietnam Television (VTV). Following the preliminary rounds held on June 5 and 6, the organizing committee officially selected 32 top-performing teams to advance to the final round, taking place from June 8 to 13. The official opening ceremony was held on the evening of June 8 at the provincial gymnasium of Ninh Binh Province.

As the official partner of Vietnam Robocon 2025, PVcomBank was honored to attend the final round’s opening ceremony and to participate in the “Robotics Connect - Innovation & Career Opportunities” event series, which featured a robot exhibition and a specialized seminar.

The exhibition showcased a wide range of technological products and innovative solutions from competing teams, businesses, and universities. It also served as a valuable opportunity for students to exchange ideas, build connections, and gain hands-on experience. Meanwhile, the Robotics Connect seminar, held on the morning of June 9, provided a forum for experts, industry leaders, and students to discuss emerging technology trends, career opportunities, and strategies to cultivate a high-quality workforce in robotics, artificial intelligence (AI), and automation.

Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Truong Viet Dung, Head of Priority Banking Development at PVcomBank, remarked: “Robocon 2025 is more than just a competition - it’s a dynamic platform for students to demonstrate their technical capabilities and apply their knowledge in real-world settings. More importantly, it fosters creativity and supports meaningful digital transformation, contributing to greater efficiency across various socio-economic sectors”.

PVcomBank reaffirms its commitment to contributing to community development

Guided by its mission of “contributing to the sustainable development of the community,” PVcomBank views the support and development of high-quality human resources as a strategic priority. This aligns with the broader national goal of driving comprehensive growth in technology and digital innovation.

Alongside its sponsorship of Robocon 2025, PVcomBank also provided event attendees, particularly students, with access to financial solutions tailored to their personal needs, including free current account openings and exclusive gifts.

Through this event, PVcomBank hopes to inspire and empower students across Vietnam, encouraging the next generation to enhance their capacity for innovation and contribute meaningfully to the country’s socio-economic progress.

With a proven track record in social responsibility programs and the success of the “Thap Sang Niem Tin” scholarship fund, PVcomBank’s partnership with Robocon 2025 further reinforces the bank’s commitment to community engagement. PVcomBank continues to play a dual role, not only as a trusted financial institution but also as a reliable partner supporting young talent on their journey to elevate Vietnam’s standing on the global stage.
