Acquisitions remain one of its key strategies in 2025, food producer KIDO Group told its annual general meeting in HCM City on Thursday.

It emphasised its commitment to integrate into the KIDO ecosystem businesses with shared visions and missions with an eye on rapid growth in the essential foods segment.

It also plans to efficiently utilise lands and infrastructure owned by its subsidiaries like Tường An and Vocarimex for developing retail trade, shopping complexes, offices, and serviced apartments.

It announced the Whale Bay and KDC Central Tower projects in HCM City.

This year it aims to steadily expand in the essential foods segment, focusing on developing new products, expanding its nationwide distribution network and moving into foreign markets.

It also plans to speed up digital transformation and increasingly use artificial intelligence with a focus on e-commerce.

The company targets revenues of VNĐ13 trillion (US$498 million) and pre-tax profits of VNĐ800 billion ($31 million) in 2025.

It plans to explore new sectors and projects but acknowledged that reaching the financial targets would be challenging in the current context, especially the tough market conditions.

To achieve them, it is planning to restructure its operations, both internally and externally.

In 2024 the company displayed flexibility to adapt to the changing market requirements, maintaining focus on core areas in the essential foods segment and expanding into new ones such as seasoning and steamed buns.

Leveraging its M&A strengths, it successfully acquired a controlling stake of 75.39 per cent in Hùng Vương Plaza, expanding its retail ecosystem and adding a modern shopping centre to its portfolio.

Hùng Vương had an occupation rate of over 80 per cent at the time of acquisition. Since KIDO took over, it has consistently been at nearly 100 per cent , providing stable cash flows.

In 2024 the company reported revenues of VNĐ8.3 trillion ($318 million) and profits of VNĐ67 billion ($2.6 million).

It proposes to pay cash dividends of 12 per cent for 2024 and 10 per cent for 2025.
