The second International Technology Exhibition (iTECH EXPO), scheduled for July 9 to 11 in HCM City, aims to to strengthen the technology ecosystem, promote trade and cooperation, and drive digital transformation.

Speaking at a meeting in HCM City on June 18, Lâm Nguyễn Hải Long, chairman of the HCM City Computer Association (HCA), said iTECH EXPO is envisioned as an international technology platform that gathers and showcases cutting-edge technological achievements from both Việt Nam and the broader region.

It is built around three guiding pillars – Information, Intelligence, and Innovation – which form the foundation for bridging current technologies with the future, connecting enterprises, solution providers, and the wider tech community, he added.

The expo will have the theme “New Tech Empower iFuture” this year and 150 booths spread across 4,000 square metres.

The event is expected to host national technology pavilions from countries including China and Russia. A dedicated HCM City Technology Pavilion will spotlight outstanding local enterprises showcasing high-application, innovative, and commercially viable products and solutions.

A special startup zone will give tech newbies the opportunity to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.

Vũ Anh Tuấn, the HCA’s general secretary, said there would be industry-focused seminars on key topics such as artificial intelligence, digital transformation, EdTech, sustainable tourism, and AgriTech featuring leading experts and thought leaders.

A key highlight of this year’s expo is the debut of a custom-built digital trade management platform for exhibitors that would support efficient lead capture, customer engagement, and post-event business development, offering a professional and seamless experience for participating businesses.

Lê Thanh Minh, deputy director of the HCM City Department of Science and Technology, said the event will not only showcase advanced technologies but also foster meaningful connections and deep knowledge-sharing on digital transformation solutions.

This is particularly important in the current context of the nationwide administrative unit mergers set to begin on July 1, which demand robust digital transformation to build an integrated administrative system capable of efficiently handling procedures, even in remote areas, he pointed out.

The event at SKY EXPO Vietnam in Quang Trung Software City, District 12, will be organised by HCA with partners including Vietbuild, Alta Media and others. It expects attract over 5,000 visitors and facilitate more than 1,000 business connections.
