MoC promotes ‘FTA market access’ drive in Kep

The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) continued its nationwide initiative to enhance understanding of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) by organising a workshop on “Market Access to Partner Countries under Free Trade Agreements” in Kep Province on Wednesday morning.

The workshop was presided over by Reach Ra, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce, and Som Piseth, Governor of Kep province.

It brought together senior officials from the General Directorate of Trade Promotion, the Department of Trade Policy, relevant sub-national departments, as well as farmers, processors, and exporters.

This event aimed to disseminate information on Cambodia’s free trade agreements to help stakeholders understand how to maximize benefits and expand their market presence.

Participants received detailed briefings on the opportunities available under various FTAs and guidance on how to comply with the procedures and requirements set by importing countries.

The workshop forms part of the ministry’s broader strategy to strengthen export performance by improving the capacity of producers and traders across Cambodia.

By increasing awareness of international trade frameworks, the ministry seeks to foster a more competitive and export-oriented business environment, especially in provinces like Kep with strong agricultural potential.
