Cambodia and Russia strengthen trade ties at economic dialogue in Moscow

Hong Samedy, Commercial Attaché of the Cambodian Embassy to the Russian Federation, attended the opening ceremony of the Russia-Cambodia Business Session on “Russia-Cambodia Economic Dialogue: Opportunities for Mutual Growth” organised by the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Moscow, Russian Federation.

 

The opening ceremony, held on May 15, aimed to promote cooperation between the two countries, increase trade volume, and provide investment opportunities for Cambodian and Russian businessmen.

The Ministry of Commerce (MoC) statement released on Friday stated that Cambodian and Russian representatives participated in the session.

It added that representatives from the Cambodian side are included: the Embassy of Cambodia in the Russian Federation, Cambodian-Russian Association, Alliance Commerce, Cambodian-Russian Trading House, and Cambodian Association of Recruitment Agencies.

Other representatives from the Russian side included the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation, the International Consortium BRICS, the Russian Export Center, the Union of International Trading Houses, the Russian-ASEAN Business Council, and the Trade Guild Russia-Asia Pacific Region.

It is worth noting that a memorandum of understanding was also signed between Plekhanov Russian University of Economics and the Cambodian-Russian private sector.
