Citi Vietnam named best commercial bank

As Vietnam has emerged as a desirable destination for manufacturing and supply chain relocation, several mid-sized corporations from Asia and other countries set up new manufacturing bases in Vietnam. This has contributed to the rise of local medium-sized enterprises that now have a role to play in global supply chains.

In Vietnam, Citi Commercial Bank has been promoted to be the best bank of choice for medium-sized companies with cross-border needs. The bank offers clients a broad range of banking services as companies grow locally and expand internationally.

The Triple A award recognises the role of Citi Vietnamfor actively supporting the growth of several medium-sized companies in Vietnam. The bank has provided working capital and social finance term loans to a coffee processing company, collaborating directly with farmers to source coffee beans and support the community.

Citi also sponsored a green trade facility for a leading manufacturer in the recycling wastepaper business.

In healthcare, Citi concluded a working capital facility for a national pharmacy chain with over a thousand stores and supporting another retail pharmacy chain in the Mekong Delta, enhancing access for the general population in the region.

“Citi is committed to helping local and international businesses with cross border growth ambitions, offering banking solutions to ensure companies' smooth operations and expansion in Vietnam and in the region. We are delighted that our efforts were recognised by the Asset,” said Tien Phung, head of Citi Vietnam Commercial Bank.

Last month, Citi celebrated three decades of dedication, innovation, and exceptional service to international and local clients in Vietnam. The bank offers a comprehensive range of banking and financial services, including corporate and investment banking, treasury and trade services, commercial banking, and securities services.
