On behalf of the Cuban Party, state, people, and General Raúl Castro Ruz, President Diaz-Canel extended his warmest congratulations to Vietnam on the 95th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam’s founding (CPV) (February 3, 1930 - 2025) and the Lunar New Year celebrations.

The top Cuban leader praised Vietnam’s achievements under the leadership of the CPV, emphasizing that Vietnam’s success serves as an inspiration for the global communist and revolutionary movements.

He expressed gratitude for Vietnam’s steadfast support for Cuba, especially during challenging times.

Party chief To Lam sincerely thanked Cuba for its enduring friendship and unwavering political closeness with Vietnam, emphasizing sympathy and deep sharing between the two peoples.

He congratulated Cuba on the 66th anniversary of the successful Cuban Revolution (January 1, 1959 - 2025) and commended the Caribbean country’s efforts in maintaining stability, overcoming difficulties, and achieving socio-economic progress.

Lam reaffirmed Vietnam’s consistent support for United Nations resolutions demanding an end to the U.S. embargo on Cuba.

Looking ahead to the 65th anniversary of Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic ties in 2025, both leaders reaffirmed the importance of their unique friendship, describing it as a priceless legacy that must be nurtured and strengthened.

They agreed to further enhance political trust and accelerate the implementation of high-level agreements made during Party General Secretary To Lam’s historic visit to Cuba in September last year.

Additionally, they were committed to organizing commemorative events, fostering people-to-people exchanges, and celebrating 2025 as the Vietnam-Cuba Year of Friendship.

During the phone conversation, Lam renewed his invitation for President Diaz-Canel to visit Vietnam in 2025 and conveyed his warmest regards to General Raúl Castro Ruz.
