Cambodia exports over 600K tonnes of rice in January 2025, earning over $48M

The Cambodian Rice Federation announced that in January 2025, Cambodia exported 59,086 tonnes of milled rice, earning $48.03 million.

 

According to the Cambodian Rice Federation, 39 rice exporters conducted these exports to 45 destinations, with 23 European countries receiving a total of 36,714 tonnes, valued at $29.79 million.

Meanwhile, China, including Hong Kong and Macau, imported 3,772 tonnes worth $2.56 million. Four ASEAN countries imported 9,413 tonnes valued at $7.31 million, while 16 other countries—including those in Africa, the Middle East, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and others—imported 9,187 tonnes worth $8.37 million.

Of the rice exported, fragrant rice accounted for 93.01 per cent, white rice for 2.93 per cent, parboiled rice for 2.31 per cent, organic rice for 1.42 per cent, and other varieties for 0.33 per cent. Notably, total wet rice exports in January 2025 reached 619,489 tonnes, generating over $139.39 million.
