PVcomBank and ACCA collaborate in developing high-quality human resources

The ceremony to award the "ACCA Approved Employer" certification and the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank (PVcomBank) concluded successfully, marking a significant milestone in PVcomBank’s ongoing efforts to elevate its workforce and strengthen its global integration.

PVcomBank, on January 16, was officially recognised as an "ACCA Approved Employer," a notable milestone underscoring the bank's commitment to elevating its workforce and reinforcing its global standing. The ceremony, held at PVcomBank’s headquarters in Hanoi, saw the attendance of senior leaders from both sides, highlighting the significance of this achievement.

The ACCA qualification, renowned for its global reach, is recognised in 180 countries. PVcomBank's inclusion in the elite group of over 8,000 ACCA-approved enterprises globally, effective November 2024, marks a pivotal step forward. This certification is a testament to PVcomBank’s robust training policies and human resource development strategies, aimed at fostering an ideal working environment.

During the event, PVcomBank and ACCA also inked a comprehensive cooperation agreement. This pact sets the stage for a series of initiatives focused on enhancing the professional competencies of PVcomBank's staff. The agreement signifies a shared commitment to sustainable development and deeper international integration, positioning PVcomBank as a forward-thinking institution.

The collaboration will see ACCA introducing tailored initiatives to bolster leadership, financial management, and strategic human resource development at PVcomBank. A centrepiece of this partnership is the ACCA Job Fast Track programme, which offers ACCA members and students exclusive recruitment opportunities based on their certification achievements.

Nguyen Viet Ha, deputy general director of PVcomBank, expressed his delight at the certification, calling it a clear reflection of the bank's relentless efforts to foster a supportive and progressive workplace. “Becoming an 'ACCA Approved Employer' not only validates the exceptional work environment at PVcomBank but also reinforces our dedication to nurturing high-calibre talent. We will continue to build on our current strengths and fully support our staff in advancing their professional skills,” said Ha.

He further emphasised the potential of the new partnership with ACCA, predicting mutual success and innovation. “We believe this collaboration will enhance our banking services and deliver tangible value to our customers and community, driven by PVcomBank’s ongoing innovations,” he added.

To Quoc Hung, Country Director of ACCA Vietnam, echoed these sentiments, emphasising the importance of partnerships in fostering innovation and driving positive change within the industry. “Today’s signing marks a pivotal moment in strengthening our partnership. Through this collaboration, we are dedicated to supporting PVcomBank in enhancing its leadership, financial management, and strategic capabilities to meet international standards,” said Hung.

Ngo Vi Phong, director of legal and compliance at PVcomBank, shared that the collaboration is not only a strategic move but also a great opportunity for everyone working and affiliated with PVcomBank. "Through this partnership, we will build a workforce that is not only skilled but also innovative, ethical, and committed to responsibilities towards customers, colleagues, and society," said Phong.

He also expressed hope that ACCA's training programmes will provide practical knowledge, helping individuals become more confident when facing professional challenges in the finance and banking sector. PVcomBank will be a place where ACCA members, both beginners and experienced professionals, can apply their knowledge in practice and continue to grow further.
