Bình Định continues to attract major manufacturing projects into industrial zones

Bình Định Province has recently approved a paper manufacturing project with a total registered capital of VNĐ900 billion and the province is expected to attract two additional manufacturing projects with a total investment of over VNĐ3 trillion in the near future.

The Bình Định Economic Zone Management Board has granted investment approval and identified the investor for the Packaging Paper Manufacturing Plant Project, which will be developed by Hoàng Hà Bình Định Paper Joint Stock Company.

This project will be located in the Nhơn Hòa Industrial Park, Nhơn Hòa Ward, An Nhơn Town, covering an area of more than 2.6 hectares, with a planned production capacity of 30,000 tonnes of products per year. The project is scheduled to start operating in June 2026.

Head of the Bình Định Economic Zone Management Board, Đặng Vĩnh Sơn, said that the Hoàng Hà Bình Định Paper Joint Stock Company will invest over VNĐ900 billion in the project. The first phase has already received an investment certificate with a total spend of over VNĐ260 billion. The company plans to invest an additional VNĐ650 billion in the second phase.

In addition to this project, the Bình Định Economic Zone Management Board is also promoting two other projects, including a wood processing project in Nhơn Hội Industrial Park – Area A and a coffee production project in Becamex Industrial Park. The total investment for these two projects is estimated at US$150 million, equivalent to over VNĐ3 trillion.

According to the Bình Định Department of Planning and Investment, as of 16 August 2024, the province has attracted 34 domestic investment projects with a total registered capital of over VNĐ4.194 trillion. Of these, the Bình Định Board has brought in ten projects with a total investment of more than VNĐ670 billion.

Several localities within the province have also successfully attracted numerous investment projects, notably Hoài Nhơn Town with six projects worth over VNĐ812 billion and Tây Sơn District with six projects totalling over VNĐ744 billion.

In terms of sectors, there are 26 projects in the industrial sector, three in agriculture, two in port services and logistics, two in construction and infrastructure and one in commercial services and tourism.
