Private sector working groups beef up activity for trade
Private sector working groups (PSWGs) of the Government-Private Sector Forum have said that they have increased their activities to facilitate better trade in Cambodia.
They also hope to improve business and investment activities in the Kingdom, businessmen said at a meeting held on Wednesday for all 16 Private Sector Working Groups of G-PSF.
The meeting was chaired by Kith Meng, President, Cambodia Chamber of Commerce. The heads and officials from the 16 PSWGs were also present in this meeting, where the need to establish a task force team was discussed.
Meng provided guidelines to participants and said that they must work with each other to improve efficiency and facilitate more business. The meeting also looked at strengthening existing sub-committees in other districts, provinces and cities.
The Government-Private Sector Forum was established on the initiative of the Royal Government of Cambodia under the leadership of former Prime Minister Hun Sen in 1999. This forum has served as a means for the Royal Government to private sector feedback on draft policies, laws and regulations on various issues, including climate change.
