Gold bullion for sale online at two more banks

State-owned commercial banks BIDV and Agribank have started selling gold bullion online.

BIDV announced on June 17 that customers can register to buy gold online at BDIV from 9:30am to 11:30am, with a limited number of registrations.

Payments and gold collection are available from 1:30pm to 4:00pm, on the day of registration.

BIDV noted that these conditions are mandatory.

Agribank also started selling gold online on June 17. The bank is open for online registration from 9:00 am to 3:00pm, Monday to Friday. Payments and collection take place from 1:30 to 4:00pm.

Strict procedures are also in place at Agribank, and customers more than 30 minutes late will not be served.

Three out of the four state-owned commercial banks are now selling SJC-branded gold bullion online to ease long waiting times at physical points of sale.

Vietcombank was the first to introduce an online gold selling service last week to address the overwhelming demand for gold.
