Cambodian exporters push products to regional, int’l markets

A delegation of six prominent Cambodian agricultural products and agri-food enterprises with the support of the Cambodia Export Development Program (CEDP) showcased at the Thaifex Anuga Asia 2024 trade show in Bangkok, Thailand, bringing local products to reach out international buyers.

 

The initiative was aimed to showcase the quality and diversity of Cambodian products on the regional and global stage which is a part of the CEDP’s strategic effort to propel Cambodian enterprises into the regional and global F&B market.

The delegation of six Cambodian companies represented a cross-section of the country’s F&B industry, including producers of fish food, spices, organic peppercorns, nuts, ready-to cook and ready-to-eat meals.

The participating businesses are Unica Enterprise, Ringacam Enterprise, New Idea Enterprise, PPF Yummy Food Manufacturing, Sovannak Mujin Agro, and Mondulkiri Organic Pepper Agricultural.

Thaifex Asia 2024 was conducted from May 28-Jun 1.

The Cambodian pavilion offered visitors a unique and immersive experience, highlighting the country’s rich agricultural heritage and culinary traditions, said the Cambodia Pepper and Spice Federation (CPSF) Executive Director, Van Vannal.

“This collaborative approach has been crucial in building a solid foundation for success. By leveraging the expertise and resources of industry stakeholders, we’re able to maximize the impact of Cambodia’s presence at Thaifex Anuga Asia 2024 and ensure Cambodian products remain competitive, while also gaining crucial market intelligence,” Vannal told Khmer Times on Monday.

Cambodia’s participation in Thaifex Asia 2024 was a resounding success, with the country’s exhibitors attracting significant interest from international buyers and consumers, Vannal said.

The Cambodian presence at Thaifex Asia 2024 was a resounding success, further cementing the country’s reputation as an emerging player in the global agri-food market. The showcase has opened new avenues for Cambodian producers to expand their international reach and solidify their position as suppliers of high-quality, innovative, and sustainable food products.

With the collaborative efforts of various organizations, including the ADMIT GROUP, CPSF, and Puzzle Solution Co Ltd, working in conjunction with CEDP, were instrumental in elevating Cambodia’s visibility and participation at the event.

This comprehensive approach not only highlighted the quality and diversity of Cambodian agri-food products but also established valuable connections and new opportunities for the country’s producers to expand their global reach.
