MB and Mastercard forge partnership in payment innovation

MB and Mastercard last week officially unveiled their all-encompassing strategic collaboration, aiming to deliver innovative payment solutions and sustainable growth with a shared objective of nurturing long-lasting and sustainable progress, while catering to the evolving needs of customers, including the tech-savvy Generation Z.

This alliance marks a significant milestone in the longstanding relationship between MB and Mastercard, dating back to their successful integration of payment acceptance and card issuance systems in 2012.

Looking ahead, the collaborative effort between these two industry leaders will yield a wave of captivating and innovative payment products and solutions.

Special focus will be on catering to the tech-savvy and independently minded Generation Z, a demographic renowned for their swift adoption of cutting-edge technologies.

During the ceremony, Vu Thanh Trung, a member of MB's Executive Board, said, "With an unwavering commitment to customer-centricity and leveraging cutting-edge technological platforms, MB takes great pride in its swift and robust digital transformation."

He further conveyed his confidence that the expanded partnership with Mastercard will unlock a plethora of high-tech products, practical conveniences, and compelling customer care initiatives.

Winnie Wong, country manager of Mastercard in Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos, emphasised the necessity of close collaboration among industry experts to drive innovation and deliver sustainable solutions that align with the escalating digital demands of technology-savvy customers.

“This collaborative initiative serves as the next chapter in the strategic alliance between MB and Mastercard, striving to introduce groundbreaking payment solutions to Vietnamese consumers, thereby empowering them with an expanded range of transactional options,” Wong highlighted.

Last year witnessed the resounding success and heightened prominence of MB's card services, epitomised by the advent of the versatile MB Hi Collection.

Captivating the younger demographic with its diverse, eye-catching, and distinctive card collections, each meticulously crafted around unique themes, this exceptional card series transcends expectations by seamlessly integrating ATM and credit card functionalities within a single chip.

In addition, customers can readily obtain these cards through multiple channels and relish enticing benefits, including generous discounts of up to 30 per cent across myriad sectors such as dining, healthcare, online shopping, and travel, when using their cards for transactions.

MB also stands at the forefront of the mobile payment revolution, assuring its clientele of secure, safe, and expeditious transactions.

By adopting this forward-looking payment modality, MB ensures that all customer transactions are executed with utmost security, convenience, and efficiency.

Meanwhile, Mastercard's mission remains steadfast: to connect and empower an all-encompassing digital economy that bestows benefits upon individuals worldwide.

Mastercard achieves this noble objective by facilitating secure, streamlined, intelligent, and accessible transactions that cater to the diverse needs of consumers, regardless of their physical location.
