Citi named Vietnam’s Best Digital Corporate Bank

Citi claimed the top spot as Vietnam’s Best Digital Corporate/Institutional Bank in the World’s Best Digital Bank Awards 2022 by Global Finance.

The participants were evaluated on the breadth of product offerings, success in migrating customers to digital platforms, acquiring and retaining new customers and using digital technologies to improve business processes, cut costs and deliver other benefits.

Citi has a rich set of digital solutions that help clients grow and expand their businesses. The bank continues to invest in its platforms and networks, which span more than 90 countries and are available in more than 25 languages.

Citi has rolled out multiple digital solutions in Vietnam, including CitiDirect BE® Document Center and Digital Onboarding.

These solutions streamline the handling of supporting documentation for cross-border payments and account opening. Clients can sign documents digitally or download, complete, scan and upload documents, eliminating paper submission to branches.

Citi has a rich set of digital solutions that help clients grow and expand their businesses.

In recent years, Citi Vietnam Treasury and Trade Solutions announced a strategic partnership with Vietnam-based intermediary payment service providers to facilitate consumer-to-business collections for corporate clients in the country.

Under the partnership, Citi’s corporate clients in Vietnam can receive real-time payments from their customers for services, including utilities, telecommunications and credit card bills.

Citi was also named World's Best Digital Bank by Global Finance for the 21st consecutive year. The bank was recognised as Best Corporate/Institutional Digital Bank globally and received multiple regional and subcategory awards in addition to 135 country awards.

“Citi is playing a leading role in developing cutting-edge digital solutions for corporate clients in Vietnam’s evolving digital banking and payments landscape. This award is a recognition of our persistent efforts towards prioritising our clients' needs and developing solutions that work for them and enable their business growth,” said Ramachandran A.S., Vietnam Citi Country Officer.

In addition to digital transformation, Citi remains focused on its ESG commitments in Vietnam. Citi recently received a certificate of recognition from the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) Vietnam for its efforts to advance ESG impact, community engagement, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
