Hanoi to foster cooperation with other localities

Hanoi and other provinces and cities will focus on attracting investment in their key fields, creating production linkages among local businesses.

Hanoi will foster cooperation with other localities in information and communications, investment promotion, trade, travel, agriculture, culture and sports, and education and training, among other fields.

The move will kick off a plan recently issued by the Hanoi People’s Committee.

Regarding the field of information and communications, the city will continue to exchange experience in the provincial digital transformation program, including building e-government towards digital government and smart city as well as developing centralized information technology parks, devising regulations, and guidelines on information technology application.

Hanoi and other provinces and cities will focus on attracting investment in their key fields and creating linkages among local businesses.

The city and localities will hold a number of festivals promoting farm produce and products ranked by the One Commune One Product (OCOP) program associated with Hanoi’s tourism in the districts of Chuong My, My Duc, Phu Xuyen, and Ba Vi, and the Fruit Festival 2022.

The city will send the delegations to northern, central and southern provinces to promote agricultural cooperation as well as participate in conferences on investment, trade, tourism promotion such as the Regional Specialty Fair 2022, and the Hanoi Product Week.

In 2021, Hanoi funded VND144 billion (US$6.1 million) for Covid-19 prevention and control in provinces and cities across the country, as well as connected provinces and cities for the sale of more than 300,000 tons of goods.
