Australian Industry Hub launched in Ho Chi Minh City

The Australian Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AusCham) and the Australian Government have entered a three-year partnership to create an Australian Industry Hub in Ho Chi Minh City.

Australian Industry Hub launched in Ho Chi Minh City

The Industry Hub will assist Australian industry bodies to enter Vietnamese markets, creating two-way trade and investment opportunities in line with the Australia-Vietnam Enhanced Economic Engagement Strategy. The Hub will target Australia’s agricultural sector in its initial phase; AusCham will connect with Australian agricultural industry groups to facilitate their interest and involvement in the Hub via an EOI process to be launched within the month.

The Australian Industry Hub will facilitate increased Australian agrifood, fiber, and forestry exports into Vietnam and enable these selected industries to establish a physical presence in Vietnam, helping to further boost in-market engagement activities. The Hub will also partner with industry associations and peak bodies in Australia with a demonstrated interest in Vietnam as a new or expanding market for their sectors.

The Industry Hub is expected to drive further commodity exports from Australia to Vietnam and increase bilateral trade and investment.
