Ba Ria-Vung Province Tau promotes rural industry

Through practical support activities, the Department of Industry and Trade of the southeastern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau has helped improve the competitiveness and market share of outstanding rural industrial products.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province was ranked among the country’s four top provinces in terms of the number of national-level outstanding rural industrial products in 2021 with seven products.

According to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade, provincial products applying for national-level recognition vary, while local industrial producers have increasingly invested in product quality and value improvement.

The department of industry and trade allocated industry promotion funding for the Hoang Phuc high-tech mechanical production and trading company in Phuoc Nguyen Ward of Ba Ria-Vung Tau’s Ba Ria City, helping the company procure and apply advanced equipment and machinery. The project has enabled Hoang Phuc to increase its productivity by 60 percent and improve product appearance. With advanced equipment, the company is capable of making various high-tech steel mechanical products and devices just 20mm thick.

Provincial industrial producers have increasingly invested in product quality and value improvement

The Trung Duong Co., Ltd in Phu My Town has changed dramatically with the support of industry promotion capital. Established in 2002, the company initially fulfilled small fabrication orders with modest product competitiveness and quality. The provincial industry promotion sector has helped Trung Duong procure advanced production equipment, which enables the company to create products with considerably improved competitiveness and durability, at more reasonable price. The company has diversified its range of products and is gradually preparing for foreign market approach.

Both enterprises have manufactured products that achieved national-level recognition in 2021.

The Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province People's Committee has a plan to honor and promote outstanding rural industrial products in 2022.

The provincial department of industry and trade proposed that the people's committees of districts, towns and cities encourage rural industrial producers to diversify the province’s range of outstanding rural industrial products.

The Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Agency for Regional Industry and Trade will help manufacturers of national-level outstanding rural industrial products procure advanced equipment and improve productivity and product quality.

Ba Ria-Vung Tau was one of the four top provinces in terms of number of national-level outstanding rural industrial products in 2021 with seven products. Production and market development related to these products will be supported by industry promotion programs.
