The turbine was erected off the coast of Soc Trang province, according to a social media post. It is the first offshore turbine installed by the company outside China.

Goldwind said it is supplying turbines for the Bac Lieu Phase III and Soc Trang Phase I wind projects off Vietnam. Together, they will generate 490 million kWh of power a year, which is enough to supply 250,000 local households.
