Phu Yen Power Company has organised the inauguration ceremony of the power generation project in Lac Sanh commune. The project has a total investment capital of VND2 billion ($86,960), which is allocated from the company’s fund. It combines three kilometres of 22kV transmission line, one-kilometre low-voltage line, and a 100kVA transmission substation.

The project provides power for the forest protection authority in Tay Hoa district and 14 households in Lac Sanh commune.

Ho Thi Nguyen Thao, vice chairwoman of Phu Yen People’s Committee lauded the power company's proactivity in investing in the transmission project to connect to the national power grid.

“The project not only meets the power demand of local people but also creates favourable conditions for investors to come looking for investment opportunities, and local people to improve their living."

In the framework of the ceremony, Central Power Corporation gave 40 computers worth VND400 million ($17,390) for four schools in two districts namely Tuy An and Son Hoa.

Previously in 2018, Phu Yen Power Company invested to upgrade and complete the entire power grids systems in 65 wards, communes, and townships in the whole province, meeting the growing demand for power (8-10 per cent per year) of the province. This project used loans from the Japan International Cooperation Agency.

The construction, upgrading, and investment of the power grid include 207km of medium and 194km of low-voltage transmission lines, as well as 40 transformer stations with the total capacity of over 10,000kVA and 22 sets of recloser circuit-breakers, along with six sets of switchgear.
