Specialised international exhibitions open in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City's Department of Industry and Trade coordinated with many trade-investment promotion units to organise a series of specialised exhibitions at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC), district 7, Ho Chi Minh City, on December 17.

Delegates cut the ribbon to open the exhibitions

The series of exhibitions at the end of the year contribute to helping businesses boost production and business activities, improve production productivity, innovate technology and gradually participate in global supply chains.

This year’s event takes place from now to the end of December 19, including: the Vietnam Supporting Industry Fair 2020 (VSIF); the Vietnam International Machinery Fair 2020 (VIMAF); Vietnam International Retail and Franchise Show 2020 and the 2020 Vietnam International Coffee & Dessert Fair(VIETRF); the Vietnam International Premium Products Fair 2020 (VIPREMIUM); and Vietbaby Fair 2020.

Especially, the VSIF 2020 and VIMAF 2020 exhibitions feature 250 booths of Vietnamese enterprises and foreign enterprises in Vietnam, showcasing the diverse details of industrial and supporting industries.

The exhibition aims to create favorable conditions and opportunities for industrial enterprises in general and supporting industry enterprises in particular to expand cooperation for mutual development, and anticipate opportunities to expand into new markets.

According to Nguyen Phuong Dong, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Industry and Trade, under the framework of the event, a series of activities such as programmes to connect trade, increase opportunities for trade promotion and search investment cooperation opportunities. At the same time, businesses can also update market trends andglobal supply chain shifts.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Director of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT)'s Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency Bui Thi Thanh An, said that Ho Chi Minh City has actively implemented, realised and concretise the Government's supporting industry development strategy.

In particular, the exhibition chain is not only the activity connecting Vietnamese businesses and other countries, but also promotes the development of many strong industries and fields.
