Covering a total area of 1,566 hectares, VSIP Haiphong boasts a strategic location with easy access to the city centre, Cat Bi International Airport, Hoang Van Thu Bridge, Binh Bridge, Haiphong Port, Lach Huyen Port, and the new administrative centre. Located in Dinh Vu-Cat Hai Economic Zone, the investment projects in VSIP Haiphong also enjoy preferential tariff treatment.
Since its inception, VSIP Haiphong has been a spotlight in attracting foreign investors seeking a safe, friendly, and efficient investment climate. The project has lured 58 tenants with the total investment capital of more than $2 billion. Among them, 37 foreign-invested firms have put their factories into operation. VSIP Haiphong achieved the occupancy rate of 72 per cent. Its tenants mainly invest in high-tech, clean, and modern fields.
As of the second quarter this year, the total export turnover of companies in the park reached $7.9 billion after 10 years. Many foreign companies maintain stable manufacturing to develop high-quality products that are welcomed by both local and overseas markets. These include KYOCERA Document Technology Vietnam, Fuji Xerox Haiphong, Chilisin Electronics Vietnam, Maple, and Regina Miracle International Vietnam, among others.
Over the past decade, VSIP Haiphong has transformed the paddy fields into a vibrant park which is home to state-of-the-art factories. VSIP Haiphong has generated 53,000 jobs, 60 per cent of which are filled by locals from Thuy Nguyen district, boosting living standards and average incomes. In particular, many handicapped people are employed by companies in the park with better income. Above all, VSIP Haiphong is creating sustainable values and tremendous changes for Thuy Nuyen district by developing convenient infrastructure and maintaining green landscape.
Nguyen Van Phan, a 38-year-old worker for Chilisin Electronics Vietnam in VSIP Haiphong said, “As a handicapped person, I have been working here for three years. In addition to salary, social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance, I receive welfare with an income of about VND10 million ($430) per month.”
On July 19, VSIP Haiphong received The Green Industrial Park 2020 award from Vietnam Consultant Association for Information, Economy and Trade under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. With around 200ha of green trees, VSIP Haiphong is considered the green lung of the area, providing an open and fresh environment for investors and workers.
Most recently, VSIP Haiphong has introduced BelHomes Haiphong with the vision of making each home a “nest” filled with beauty and happiness. Covering an area of 9.55ha, the projects provide accommodation for staff and workers at VSIP Haiphong. Three urban parks with a combined area of 6ha are Central Park, Wetland Park, and Lake Gardens, which are expected to become a place of relaxation for locals and people from neighbouring areas alike.

VSIP Haiphong lends helping hand to the community
Along with economic development, VSIP Haiphong always strives to contribute to the local community by providing educational, housing, and healthcare facilities for the disadvantaged. Since its inception, Haiphong has organised many community activities like humanitarian blood donation, building houses of gratitude, presenting gifts for disadvantaged children and old people, as well as renovating schools in the locality.
In 2020, VSIP Haiphong paid great attention to sharing the burdens of the community due to the severe impact of COVID-19. At the beginning of 2020, the company, along with Thuy Nguyen district, have built many houses of gratitude for disadvantaged local people. In May 2020, the company organised an event to offer rice for those who are affected by the pandemic in eight towns in Thuy Nguyen and workers in the park.
