Recently, HDBank has become one of the representatives from Asia to receive the Global Business Outlook Award 2020 conferred by Global Business Outlook Magazine in the categories of Best Innovation in Green Banking and Most Innovative Mobile Banking App.

The Global Business Outlook Award 2020 honours organisations and enterprises with excellent performance in the past year. To the entities, this serves as meaningful acknowledgement for their innovations, creativity, and business advantages. This year, HDBank was one of the awardees, alongside other banks from many countries around the world such as Standard Chartered, CIMB Bank, Bank of the Philippines, and CTBC Bank.

More specifically, HDBank scored high and bagged the titles of Best Innovation in Green Banking and Most Innovative Mobile Banking App.

Adhering to the orientation towards a "Green Bank – for environmental protection", and a "Digital Bank – Happy Digital Bank", HDBank has been leading the trend of modernising business operations with a long-term vision of sustainable development. As a pioneer in financing clean energy projects, high-tech agricultural development, and clean agriculture, HDBank was the first bank in Vietnam to be honoured by the Asian Development Bank (ADB) with a Green Deal Award for outstanding achievements in green trade finance in the region.

Investing for a rapid digital transformation, HDBank has launched many services applying modern technology to offer more utilities to customers using the HDBank App as well as has been digitising internal processes and transactions on its course to be a digital and paperless bank.

The HDBank App is a banking application designed for smartphones with full functions required for a modern digital banking model that can serve each and every finance and payment demand of customers. HDBank attaches great importance to the building of the HDBank Application based on a state-of-the-art security system. The HDBank App allows customers to experience modern and user-friendly digital banking with many a smart utility and fulfils customers’ needs to make financial transactions in a safe, secure, and speedy manner.

Since August 2020, when customers download the HDBank App, they can sign up for an iMoney account and do some simple steps to successfully register their identification (eKYC). By applying modern technologies in general and deploying eKYC in particular, HDBank has been the pioneer in allowing customers to open an account online, and to conduct transaction fast, safely and conveniently, anytime, anywhere, without physical presence at the bank.

HDBank’s effort has been recognised by the community with a lot of prestigious and distinguished accolades. Lately, HDBank has been honoured with the second and back-to-back Mid-sized Domestic Retail Bank of the Year award in 2020 by Asian Banking & Finance; besides, the bank was the only Vietnamese bank to be named by HR Asia for three consecutive years as Best Companies to Work for In Asia.

The international credit rating agency Moody's has recently declared to maintain the B1 rating for HDBank assessing that the bank has made positive progress in improving asset quality and capital capacity, as well as achieving high and sustainable profitability.
