Reference exchange rate up 5 VND on April 17

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,241 VND per USD on April 17, up 5 VND from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,936 VND/USD and the floor rate 22,545 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks remained stable.

At 8:25 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,320 VND/USD, and the selling rate at 23,530 VND/USD, both unchanged from the same time on April 16.

BIDV also kept both rates unchanged, listing the buying rate at 23,350 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,530 VND/USD.

Similarly, Techcombank also maintained both rates at 23,340 VND/USD (buying), and 23,540 VND/USD (selling).
