Vifa Home’s Furniture Banquet opens in HCMC

Vifa Home 2019, the 10th Vietnam International Furniture and Home Accessories Fair, began today, November 28, at Phu Tho Indoor Sports Stadium in HCMC’s District 11.

Under the theme “Furniture Banquet”, the four-day expo, organized by the HCMC Handicraft and Wood Industry Association (HAWA), showcases products and designs at 600 booths of 120 furniture manufacturers in the nation.

Many well-known brands, such as Scansia Pacific, Savimex, Donata, and Le Tran, which primarily export their products to large foreign markets such as the U.S., Europe, Japan, and South Korea, are present at this year’s event.

Over the past decade, Vifa Home has been a familiar yearly destination for furniture manufacturers, as well as Vietnamese consumers, said Dinh Thi Huong Nga, a member of HAWA’s committee, as cited by VietnamPlus.

Additionally, Vifa Home has demonstrated its success in promoting trade among producers, traders, distributors and retailers, and enabling furniture businesses to effectively tap the local market.

Also, the expo has helped increase producers’ and consumers’ responsibility for the environment through the use of wooden materials from legal sources.

With an aim to meet the shopping and home furnishing demand of local consumers for the year-end period, and approach more groups of potential customers, many major furniture brands are offering special deals to retail buyers at the show.
