Easy Credit launches consumer lending via ViettelPay app

Consumer-oriented consumer lender Easy Credit under state-owned EVN Finance has kicked off its online loaning programme via the Vietnamese-made ViettelPay app.

After nearly one year in the market, this month, Easy Credit has officially expanded its business activities nationwide. Any people wishing to take up a loan worth from several million dongs or about several hundreds of US dollars to a maximum VND80 million ($3,480) can use Easy Credit’s loaning services.

Accordingly, they can call the firm’s hotline, access the firm’s website, Facebook, or Zalo-based system. They can also post their personal information on the Zalo Bank or Easy Apply (Go Bear) apps or they can make direct borrowings on ViettelPay.

Currently, Easy Credit is trying to implement its plan to cover all the corners of the country with its loaning services through co-operation with tech firms which already have high-tech apps and customer databases.

The direct loaning initiative from Easy Credit via ViettelPay comes from the co-operation between Easy Credit and Viettel Digital.

Anyone wishing to access a loan via this app at any time anywhere, can fill in their personal information on the app and attach an image of their identity card and then select the loan package they want. After that, approval results will be announced automatically based on the Big Data platform.

If the loan is approved, the customer will sign an e-contract and then receive the money from ViettelPay. The whole process takes only several minutes, far shorter than the traditional loaning process which often takes about one to three days.

Customers of Easy Vay, which is a loaning function on the ViettelPay app, are those who have smartphones and need a small loan. This app allows customers to access loans worth about VND1-7 million ($43.37-304.34) for a repayment preiod of three months.
