Reference exchange rate up 4 VND on August 29

The State Bank of Vietnam set the daily reference exchange rate at 23,133 VND per USD on August 29, up 4 VND from the previous day.

 

With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 23,826 VND per USD and the floor rate at 22,429 VND/USD.

The opening hour rates at commercial banks slightly increased.

At 8:15 am, Vietcombank listed the buying rate at 23,145 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,265 VND/USD, both rising 5 VND from August 28.

BIDV also offered both rates at 23,145 VND/USD (buying) and 23,265 VND/USD (selling), up 5 VND as compared to the previous day.

Techcombank also raised both rates by 4 VND, listing the buying rate at 23,133 VND/USD and the selling rate at 23,273 VND/USD.
