VIB introduces e-voucher gift service on MyVIB

Customers who have VIB internet banking accounts can buy e-vouchers for nearly 70 reputable brands with more than 1,820 stores directly on the MyVIB mobile banking app, starting from Wednesday.

According to VIB, customers need to access MyVIB, find the e-voucher feature, choose the value of cards or gifts from reputable brands, then enter the email and phone number of the donor to automatically send the code, attach a greeting and confirm payment to complete the purchase of the e-vouchers.

The new feature helps save management resources, shipping and packaging fees compared to traditional forms, VIB said, adding that the first 900 customers who successfully buy e-vouchers will receive VND100,000 (US$4.3) each.

The launch of the e-voucher feature is part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to expand its role in digital technology and encourage the development of start-ups and fintech, director of VIB’s banking product development department Pham Thu Ha.

“With the goal of bringing customers a diverse experience on digital platforms, we hope to keep the support of customers,” she said.

In 2018, e-commerce in Viet Nam witnessed many outstanding changes. The online shopping market is more vibrant than ever with the contribution of many big e-commerce exchanges.
