Shinhan Bank launches smart consumer loan on Zalo application

Using smart consumer loan on Zalo application developed by Shinhan Bank Vietnam Limited “Shinhan Bank” has officially launched the smart consumer loan on Zalo application will help customers apply for convenient consumption loans from Shinhan Bank at the interest rate 1.33 per cent - 2.4 per cent per month, if having minimum monthly wage of VND5 million ($217.39) paid through bank accounts.

Especially, from now to June 30 2019, 1,000 first customers will be offered the preferential interest rate only 1.33 per cent/month without any loan conditions. Depending on the users’ income and the granted credit line, the loan amount can be up to 12 times of their income after tax (maximum of VND500 millions or $21,739), with loan term up to 60 months.

Users can easily apply for smart consumer loan from Shinhan Bank right on Zalo Bank of Zalo application. Zalo Bank offers built-in financial services, including Small loan. If customers want to get a loan, just select Zalo Bank function and follow the instructions.

Then the systsem will automatically assess, if the user is qualified to apply for a loan on the basis of the information provided by user himself. If user is qualified, he/she will be directly connected to the Shinhan Bank staff for specific instructions on the application process.

After receiving all documents from the applicant, the bank will complete processing the application within three working days and the loan will be disbursed to the customers according to the current requirements and rules.

Shin Dong Min, CEO of Shinhan Bank in Vietnam, shared about this service, “By May 2018, Zalo has 100 million of users and we believe this is an effective channel to access the customers. Our service offered on Zalo application helps customers with easier and more convenient access to Shinhan's smart consumer loans.

Through Zalo Bank, customers in need of loan within credit line of VND 500 million ($21,739) can apply for loans anytime, anywhere. The loan process will then be automatically processed quickly and accurately by the system”.

In Vietnam, Shinhan Bank is the first bank to introduce smart consumer loan service on Zalo application. Previously, Shinhan Bank also offered services of credit card application and issuance on Zalo and has received very positive feedback from the market.

With this move, Shinhan Bank has further affirmed its leading position in not only technology application but also in setting up long-term cooperation with other excellent technology partners in Vietnam to provide optimal financial services for users.
